Jack’s Point Golf Course in Queenstown is a must-play destination for golfers seeking a blend of challenging play and breathtaking scenery.  Nestled between the 2,300-meter-high Remarkables mountain range and the pristine waters of Lake Wakatipu, this 18-hole, par-72 championship course offers an unforgettable golfing experience.

Jacks Point is located on the eastern side of Lake Wakitapu.  It is a 20-minute drive from Queenstown or a less than 10-minute drive from Queenstown airport.  The golf course is located between the lake and the Remarkable Mountain range, so everywhere you look, you will see amazing scenery. This is not only one of the most spectacular golf courses you will ever play but it is also a championship course that will test your ability with the golf clubs and your camera! 

The golf course was laid out on land that needed minimal modifications.  The dramatic rocky outcrops, tussock areas, wetlands and native vegetation is blended well into the course. The heritage stone walls herald back to the last century when the land was a majestic high-country farm.  The course will have you hitting some breathtaking tee shots and challenging shots onto the green. 

Jacks Point plays over 6,300-metres long and offers golfers an exciting challenge with five tee positions to choose from, providing all golfers an unforgettable golf experience.  Early in the round, you are playing uphill which is quite testing.  The stretch of holes along the lake, holes number five through to number eight, are majestic.  Playing onto the 5^thgreen, you get to take in the full 360 degrees of scenery as you look across to Queenstown or up at the Remarkables.  The seventh hole is that magical short par-3 hole that makes everyone’s Facebook or Instagram page as it is that stunning! Then you will be challenged with the difficult par-5 8^th Hole and all the uphill onto the green.  The 16^th Hole is the other iconic hole, as you play back downhill towards the clubhouse and the Remarkables to an ‘infinity’ green.  

Jack’s Point has some great features and details that you will really appreciate when you play, and yes, the course deserves its high rating.  Make sure you enjoy some time in the clubhouse as it is such a special setting!
